Customer Info/Guidelines

In an effort to live up to our mission and to be able to meet the needs of our community, we have adopted some guidelines for the food shelf.

  • We serve residents of South Burlington.
  • An information form must be completed at the first visit, and then updated annually.
  • If changes occur in family size or contact information during the year, please let us know.
  • Customers are welcomed two (2) times per month.
  • The hours of the food shelf are listed above. Please plan your trips during these hours. If running late, please consider the next available time.
  • Customers are assisted by a volunteer during their shopping experience.
  • Customers are asked to take only what is needed by their household.
  • Toothbrushes will be available January, April, July, and October (every 3 mos.)
  • If there is a specific need, please let us know. We may be able to accommodate the need.
  • When the shelf is busy, we may ask customers to wait in their
  • car or sit inside as our limit for shoppers at any given time is 4.
  • If you need diapers, we may have them. Please ask your volunteer.
  • Because we have limited time and space, we ask our customers to move through the food shelf in 15-20 minutes.

As always, our volunteers remain ready to assist our customers and look forward to making the shopping experience a pleasant one.
