Your neighbors in South Burlington are experiencing food insecurity more than ever. Demand for our services have grown by double-digit numbers every year since opening in 2019. The Food Shelf serves more than 500 unique households each year. Among these are the most vulnerable of our population: more than a quarter of those are families with children and 11% are senior citizens.
Your support is vital to the South Burlington Food Shelf’s ongoing ability to serve our community. Please consider:
- Donating food or supplies
- Providing financial support
- Volunteering your time

Host a Food Drive
Hosting a food drive in your neighborhood or place of business is an incredibly impactful way to provide support. If you would like to do a neighborhood or business or other food drive feel free to give us a call – we have lots of boxes and bags and advice on what has worked well in the past.
PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT
You can make an easy and secure financial donation online below.
Become a Food Hero when you commit to a monthly sustaining donation. Just $25-$50 a month ensures a family in our community has the food they need, when they would otherwise go hungry.
If you prefer to make a donation via check you can make checks payable to the South Burlington Food Shelf, P.O. Box 9417, South Burlington, VT 05407-9417.
We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We’ll send it to you upon the successful completion of your donation! Our team is happy to help you with that process.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
